The Band
AllTorque have been going (with various names and various line ups!) for many years. But whatever the personnel, the aim has always been the same: to play fun songs for the enjoyment of a live audience. Taking a wide range of music from many eras, we put our own spin on it and have great fun playing together.
What do we sound like? That’s not easy to describe – a cross between Fleetwood Mac and the Ramones? Between Busted and Free? Head over to the ‘Sounds’ page to hear some samples. We constantly change our repertoire which ensures the set is kept fresh for both band and audience.
Where do we play? At pubs, clubs and festivals around Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire.

Martin W
Founder member of the band many iterations ago and enthusiastic drummer. Its been a very interesting road from the first duo with Jim Fogerty to the current 6 member line up, which has made us a very versatile band.
Martin has been playing drums for a number of years now, influences are old school rock like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Spocks Beard and of course Pink Floyd.
Mel
Keyboards and fretless bass guitar (and double bass if needed, as if a fretless bass wasn’t challenging enough!), the proper musician in the band, can successfully turn her hand to a wide range of styles.
Martin B
The youngest member of the band (helping to keep the average age a little lower), an enthusiastic Oasis fan (although not limited to…) whose tools of the trade include a distinctive Union Jack (Union Flag) Epiphone and an impressive double neck guitar kept for special occasions. When not playing Martin is an avid bike enthusiast.

Our newest member, Ice grooves to rock, pop, soul, r&b, funk and punk. Ideal!
Dave
Particularly fond of classic rock and blues. Previously, many years ago, in a band called ‘Mahrud’ (in South London) which should have been called ‘Mayfly’ as it died after one gig. Also plays Ukulele and has either too many or too few guitars (…’they all do something different!’).
Jon
Jon is the band ‘jack of all trades’, adding vocals (well, tuneful shouting really) and bass when required. He is waiting for his chance to contribute on primitive guitar, ukulele, squeezebox and hurdy-gurdy – you have been warned… He is still living off the high of having John Peel play one of his records in the 1980s!
